The bus to Volos starts from the bus station Liosion about 25 km from the airport. You can either go by taxi from the airport or go by airport bus X93, which stops just outside exit 5. Here you buy tickets at 3.20 €( 2006). The trip takes about 35 minutes. Be aware that the bus station Liosion is not easy to see. It looks like a normal bus stop, as the busses are inside a big building. Leaving the bus, walk to the right from the bus stop and take the first road on your left.

It takes about 4½ hours to go from Liosion to Volos. Tickets to Volos are approx. 20 €. Departure times from Volos can be found on www.ktel.org. The bus is very comfortable, and there is a 20 minutes' stop at a restaurant on the way. The bus leaves Liosion every 1½ hours from early morning till late evening.

They go from the middle of May,and the price (Martch 2006) is 2348dkr. for a return ticket valid for 2 weeks.  They only go once a week.
